The 2005 hunting and fishing season was a busy one. We traveled from Alaska to Africa and throughout the western US. It was a year devoted to capturing the action on film, and we ended up with 64 TV shows, overall.
In Africa, the pending world’s record rhino fell to the BowTech (darted), and more than two dozen other animals were taken. These include two other pending world’s record plains game and a host of top-10 animals. We came away with 20 shows in a month of hunting, all of which will be featured on Adventures Abroad, which airs on The Outdoor Channel 2HD.
We also shot several salmon and steelhead fishing shows throughout the West for the Salmon, Trout & Steelheader show I’m hosting, also on The Outdoor Channel 2HD. We had great success on springers and winter steelhead in the Pacific Northwest, as well as kings in Alaska.
For the third TV show we’re hosting, Limbsaver Outdoors, which airs on the Men’s Channel, we hunted and fished hard throughout the West. We came away with some great fishing shows in Alaska, and scored on some dandy big game animals. From bears in Washington to antelope and deer in Montana, Oregon, South Dakota and more, it was a banner year. In all, 52 animals were taken, 21 with bow, and all on film.
In addition to hosting these television shows, there are numerous magazine articles and a couple more books in the works, so be on the lookout. Also, check out the link to the new Hunting The West magazine I’m serving as editor of. This is a comprehensive magazine by hunters, for hunters.
Thanks for visiting, enjoy the photos and God bless. There are many great opportunities out there for outdoorsmen; live the dream!
